McComb Public Library

New Hours

Beginning Monday, January 30 the Library will open at 10:00 am each day.

Library hours will be 10-8 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 10-5 on Thursday and Friday, and 10-3 on Saturday.

A celebration honoring the Andrews Raiders will be held in McComb on Saturday, June 23. In remembrance of the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War, this all day event will feature a parade, a ceremony at the cemetery, Living History characters and more.

Two of the famous Andrews Raiders, William Bensinger and John Reed Porter are buried in the McComb Union Cemetery and the library houses the original Medal of Honor that was issued to Bensinger.

2011 Auction

The Friends 2011 Silent Auction ended Wednesday, December 14. This year's auction featured 182 baskets and raised an unofficial total of $4,400 with 112 people who registered to bid. Our Friends Group, Board of Trustees and Library Staff truly appreciate the support of our community for this yearly fundraiser.
